I used fuse tap to hard wire a Valentine 1. However the power does not shut off when i turn on the ignition. Right now I have it add to Cigarette fuse. Does anyone know is there a fuse that i can add to that will shut off when I turn off the car?

Here is how I handled the hardwiring and setting up the custom remote display (with colored LED's) on a Modshack ring. Power shuts it down when ignition is off.
First off, save yourself the trouble and pick up one of these things from Pepboys.

Next plug it in as seen here:

If you do choose to go the route of a remote V1 display, you could do something along these lines.

Hope this helped you out.<ul><li><a href="http://www.littelfuse.com/part/FHA200BP.html">http://www.littelfuse.com/part/FHA200BP.html</a</li></ul>

I don't have a worthwhile pic right now, but I mounted it to the right of the rearview by 3 inches, and 4 inches down to pick up front and rear signals. I did not remove the a-pillar, I used a small kitchen spatula and "tucked" the wire in all along the pillar and headliner. Easy as pie!
