Default Has anyone been able to identify the US curb weight of the 2009 TT 2.0 Quattro Coupe S-Tronic?

When you specify the various 3.2 models online on the US site you get the different weights for each variant (e.g manual vs DSG). When you specify the various 2.0 models the weights all say the same thing (e.g Quattro vs FWD). Strange.

Someone earlier insisted that EU TT weights are different than US weights - no idea why.

Default Add at least 175 pounds for Haldex...

... which would put the 2.0T quattro DSG at around 3140 pounds.

I derived the quattro weight from the difference between the FWD and AWD versions of the 2.0T DSG featured on the German Audi site. Then I added that number to the US 2.0T FWD weight to come up with the 3140 figure.

Default So the weight advantage over the 3.2 is only 122 lbs then. I would imagine the weight balance....

fot the 2.0 Q coupe will be better than all the other variants though with the extra mechanicals in the rear and the lighter 2.0 in the front.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. My guess: 56/44, front/rear.

That's pretty darn good. How does that compare to the 2.0 FWD and 3.2 DSG coupes?

Default Wait a minute you guys, that doesnt make since. If the TTS weighs in at

just 3075 pounds then why would a plain 2.0 Q weigh 3100+ ? The Mk 1 coupe weighed in at, as I recall 3200 to 3300. I thought a 2.0 Q coupe was 2965 and a 2.0 FWD was 2,865? And the roadster 2.0 FWD weighs 2965 and the Q at 3,075... Are we good and confused yet... lol

Default I think mainly safety equipment regulations.... When I was buying my TSX...

The Accord type S in europe(same as TSX) weighed approx 200lbs less than the acura. I was on a web chat through acura with some engineers and they said in that case anyway that extra side impact reinforcements played a very large roll in the added weight.
