Default Ipod adapter in 2010 TT

Hi everyone,

I just purchased a 2010 TT coupe with the prestige package (importing it from US into Canada). It has the 6 disc cd changer and not the ipod adapter. I called my local dealer in Canada and they said there is an adapter kit available for $200 and $300 for installation. The only thing keeping me back is that they told me despite the unit connecting to the nav unit it still won't display the songs like the MMI. Any idea if there exists an aftermarket unit that will display song info or should I just go with the OEM from the dealer? Any idea if the songs from the OEM will at least display in the center console? I'd appreciate any thoughts for the best setup.

Thanks

Yes, it exists. It takes 10 minutes to install (with radio tools) and costs $200. Go to Enfig.com and check out the Dension Gateway 100.

Cheers !

My US Spec 2010 TT Prestige Package with Navigation and Audi Music Interface instead of CD changer displays song title, artist, and album on screen when I connect my iPod (in my case an old IPhone 3G) to it. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response. The kit from Enfig will it display all the info on the MMI or just the MFD in the steering console?

Honestly dont know as I dont have an RNSE (yet!). Best to contact the guys at Enfig. ON a related note, I spent a few hours today driving a B8 A4 with all the bells and whistles and the OEM interface does display the song name on both BUT everytime I restarted the car, I had to go back into the media control section to reset it to shuffle. Also, I couldnt get the MFSW to properly control skipping to the next song.

From what I've read the kit from enfig does not display on the nav screen.. only displays on the dis on the steering column. I'd like to add though your car comes with the drop down screen so you can insert 2 sd cards that you can load with up to 2gb each of mp3s and they(artist/song title) do show on the screen.
