Hello everyone! As you can see I am new here, I bid on a 2012 Audi TT today. It only had 20 miles and although it is a salvage title, the only thing I will have to replace is the hood and front bumper, I'm not sure how this thing was crashed considering there is absolutely no frame damage, engine, or transmission damage. I mean the headlights don't even have a scratch on them, the hood is bent and the bumper is being held together by zip ties lol. I got the thing for around $22k. I think I made a good deal considering not much damage, but I guess I will truly see when the car comes to me from the east coast, I live in the Midwest. I'm only 19 so you can imagine how happy I am, even if the car needs some repair. I mean only 20 MILES! Anyway, as a new Audi owner any tips I should know? and what do you think about salvage cars, alot of people think their just a money pit, I personally think people overreact a tad about them, as long as the repair is done well and it gets inspected professional, whats the problem? I realize that if I ever decide to sell the car, which wont be for a couple years at least, I'm going to have to take a hit on the price, but I figure I will keep the "before" pictures that show no frame damage, etc and that should help ease the new buyer. Anyways thanks for your time and any tips/advice is welcomed!

Yes! I made sure before bidding that their was no secondary damage, which is fire/flood. It was only body damage to the front end. It shipped to my state from the east coast, I checked it out a couple days ago at the body shop because I had it sent to a body shop instead of my house, I didn't want to pay again for a tow truck. I started her up, she sounded amazing, I did not drive it, because when I popped the hood, I saw their was a belt that was lose on the engine, shouldnt be to big of a deal since the engine started no problem and sounded beautiful. The interior is also straight from the factory, I mean 20 miles and still there is cardboard and plastic covering all the interior on the doors and carpet, etc. Simply amazing, after fix up total should be around $25-26k. And whats even better! Its the prestige model not premium plus, so I have the s line package, navigation, and other goodies. Once the repair is done, I will post before/after pics.
