Not so custom order Audi TT Roadster time frame
I ordered a 2011 Audi TT Roadster on December 26th. It is black top, silver exterior, black seats and the Prestige Package. The only custom part of the order is the iPod interface. I was told mid-March. Now they called and told me some time in May! Is that crazy? How long does it usually take to order a car that is already in production? They told me not too many people get the Prestige Package with a roadster. Weird since it's not much more than the lower one and has more toys.

Maybe just a general production problem with Audi. Friend of mine is looking for a Q5 and was told it would be months before he could get his hands on ANY. There is a waiting list here at a Toronto dealership for that!
But the 2.0 run 6L/100km on the highway... can't beat that

As Audi plants struggle to meet demand, buyers wait months for cars
This article doesn't specifically mention the TT/TTS, but I would imagine it's impacting all models.

Thanks for the info. It's amazing that AUDI customer support and the dealership are both having trouble finding out why it is taking so long. You think they would have mentioned this. I don't think it's a bad excuse but it is the truth.

Anyhow sounds like you've been extremely patient. Hope that the car is everything that you expect.
Mine has been great. Got an APR reflash done a couple of weeks ago and now just need a suitable place for some WOT. May end up taking it to a drag strip just to see what kind of numbers the car can generate as my butt dyno is not very reliable.

I'm certainly happy with my TTS but have yet to find a suitable section of road to go peddle to the metal. One of these days...
