Default poor wiper blade performance

Stock wipers, even with some better fluid, seem to have a tough time on anything sticky (bugs, sap, etc.).

Clears fluid well, but that's about it.

Also leaves some marking at the stop point of the passenger side blade.

I've cleaned the blades themselves to try to alleviate this, and the marking stops for a while, but the performance quickly falls off. (Car is garaged but in an outside lot during the day.)

any recommendations?

Default these wipers were made by Audi, not God

Even then, what you're asking of the wiper is damn near impossible... sticky bugs or sap aren't going to come right off by rubbing them with a piece of rubber or silicone. My bet would be that they smear.

How about cleaning it by hand when its bad instead of smearing it with wipers...

The point, of course, is that the TT wipers seem to perform much more poorly than wipers I've had in the past. I'm not expecting magic wipers.

Default Ever tried RainX? A few minutes to apply, but worth it to see bugs sliding down your windshield!

No experience with the other brands, but after using RainX stuff just doesn't stick, and you'll probably not need to use your wipers at any speed over 25mph...

Default Wiper Blades For TT

You may want to take a close look at the trico neoform beam blades. They are smooth and quiet and clean well (rain and snow; not sap and bugs - lol). Direct-connect and no cheesy adapters. Fair price.

Default terrible blades on 2011 tts

2011 tts roadster, at less than 1,000 miles dealership switched blades. terrible smearing, wouldn't clean, etc. Dealer did say there was a sheen on the windshield, possibly from factory, which may have been causing smudging and smearing. new blades are a little better.

Default poor OEM blades

I've got about 7 months and 4,000 miles on my 2010 TT roadster, and have already replaced the wiper blades. The wiper arms do not seem to provide enough downforce on the blade ends, resulting in portions towards the end of the blades where things streak and skip. I bought a new set of Rain-X all weather blades, which are better but still don't fully fix the issue.

This is probably the 10th or 12th car I've had as a daily driver in my life, and I can say without a doubt that it has the worst wiper blade performance of any of them by a wide margin. I find it hard to believe Audi can't do better than this.

ICE! My blades work ok in normal conditions, but are crappy in sub freezing conditions. Probably no worse than other cars I've owned, but I was expecting better.
