Exactly what I have in mind. The BMWs seem to have the best wipers out there. They just look and sound impressive and dominant. When I switched from my last 545i to another manufacturer, I immediately bought a bottle of Rain-X because I just didn't trust those wipers. Just got my TT last week and I haven't had to use it yet... but just one look at the wipers and I lost all my confidence in them. I am going to put Rain-X on religiously.

You guys/gals may want to look at Aquapel. If you like Rain-X, you'll love this stuff. https://www.wipers123.com/trico_view.php This combined with the neoforms mentioned below is the best combo I've had.

Time is money... 1 application every 6 months vs. 4-6 applications every 6 months is well worth it. I'm super-lazy and not real consistent with maintenance, so it works great for me...AND it really does last 6 months as they advertise.

BTW, we had an ice storm in WI overnight and I think that the ice came off slightly easier due to the glass treatment.

Rain-X (not the spray on, the actual bottle that you have to apply as if it were wax), good quality windsheild spray and you're good to go. Other than that there's nothing else. I don't have any of these symptoms and my car is outside all day. Obviously wipers aren't going to get all sap and bugs off ur windsheild, try squeegee-ing a window that has maple syrup with water, its not going to wipe off all of it. As for the Icing conditions, no decrease in performance because I have rain-x and good spray. My wipers have 26K miles on them (from factory) and have yet to disappoint me

Ahhhhhh yeeesssssss... Brand new windshields - can't beat them. I always get 2-3 years out of my first set of wipers too because the glass is so pristine. The challenge enters when the windshield gets worn and pitted (usually downhill from 36K+). Thats where wipers start wearing out quicker and glass treatments really start to help. Of course, I probably tailgate more than most which doesn't help the glass nor wipers!! LOL
