Default Sagging leather?

This is suppose to "Tighten-up" our seats
Use this
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/AUT-LC500-LEATHER-CLEANER-500/dp/B00114T7QC/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1233552549&sr =1-21"> Part 1&gt;</a>
and this;
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/AUT-13325-LEATHER-CARE-CREAM/dp/B000MSYIU8/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1233552549&sr =1-10"> Part 2&gt;</a>
Also recommended by&gt;&gt;
<a href="http://www.properautocare.com/autleatcarcr.html">Rolls Royce&gt;</a>

But This (-Sliptone-) some say is the best made!
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Gliptone-Professional-Automotive-Leather-Care/dp/B0007N20WQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top">Professional Kits&gt;</a>

From what I understand the stuff you buy at the auto parts store is useless!!! Welp there going most of my Leather cleaners &amp; conditioners... lol

For extreme cases;
There is one other method but I wouldn't recommend doing it unless the seats are so sagged out you really don't have any other choice.
Experts say to get the sagged-out leather wet (with water) then use a blow dryer and dry it. This will also tighten up your seat leather.

Default I've used a variety of products ...

not off the shelf stuff, but high end cleaners and preservative. No change in sag. Haven't tried the hair dryer approach - at least not yet. I may try that this week. But, that's not the definitive solution to the problem - Audi needs to acknolwedge that it IS a real issue, and come up with a fix for it. And I'll pursue this relentlessly until I get a satisfactory answer.

Default Re: I've used a variety of products ...

That's the purpose of this post,, nothing else "WILL" work! If you try the hair dryer &amp; water, you need to soak the area until the water is absorbed all the way into the leather then dry it with the hair dryer. Basically you're relaxing the leather then tightening it up. But back to those products, I didn't look for high ended products,
I went looking for "What Works"! And these are the two products I came up with.
I got to say I also do have high ended leather seat care products but I've never seen them do a damn thing in the years I've used them. Some were special order but I never waste the money again if this stuff works.

One other note, this S-line I ran down and picked up last week,, the leather already has a stretch wrinkle after the 100 mile drive home.. Will it continue, I dont want to find out! I'm gonna try to get a head of it frist.

Default I completely missed you're post but obviously I read the thread. You're seats look great!

Their fairing much better then mine. I never put a wallet in my pocket its just too thick. I always throw it and the check book in the glove compartment. But I have a wrinkle 3/8 of inch tall that runs from one side of the seat to the other. Great to see your post about the hair dryer,, it means I'm on the right track.

Default btw, people also have had this problem with the A5

I believe the S-line seats on the A5 are the same as the TT. This issue may be the reason that Audi switched to leather/alcantara for US-bound A5 S-lines.<ul><li><a href="http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthread.php/leather-seat-problems-174/index.html">http://www.a5oc.com/forums/showthread.php/leather-seat-problems-174/index.html</a</li></ul>

Default I use AutoGlym and it has not helped. The issue in my opinion is

what they used to stuff the seats. Foam and what ever else... it's too soft and causes the leather to stretch and sag. If it was firmer, that would stop the leather from stretching.

It's like open cell foam versus closed cell foam...

Nothing wrong with the leather, it's the stuffing...

Default Wow that's one hell of a resource. 6months! I'm going to check into that. Thanx for the post!

I gotta say it sure seems like they got cheap on these seats. Based on what I'm seeing I'd say the issue isn't the type of foam their using but the lack of it. You can feel the seat springs even if you're just barely touching the surface of the seat with your hand. And that's something I never felt in my MkI. My theory is you sit down,, no support under the leather,,, it stretches,, its that simple. But I'll tell you this, with hardly 130 miles on the car I won't take this "Sitting Down"!

Default Wait wait wait wait, we have to get into our cars carefully? That's lame. I weigh...

150lbs. and am 5'10". I drive my car very rarely because I don't commute and only drive it to the gym and intermittently on the weekends, but I still am getting some pretty significant sag on my Audi exclusive leather seats. I think I'll try the hairdryer thing but come on, for the price of these damn cars, this is kinda stupid. LOL

Agree'd!! I'm guessing that our seats are nothing more then Leather seat covers on a set of springs.
