Default Me neither.

by the way, nice car. Love the color. Wish we have that in the state. I think they have it in the 2009 model.

My didn't come with it either. Was it a plug and play for the RNS-E?

Default Yes, it's plug and play...

Once you have it installed it's just a matter of receiving the activation signal. I went online to set up my account (be sure to enter the promo code "Audi" to get the 3 free months), and at the end you can schedule when to have them send the signal. Unfortunately that didn't work for me or I missed it, so I ended up going out to the car and calling their 800 number. Once you've entered your account info there's a menu option to resend the activation signal which should get you up and running in a minute or two.

As long as you're willing to pay for it, any color is available in the States. For '09 they've added Meteor Gray as a standard color, but IMO Daytona Gray is much nicer so I don't really regret the choice.

Default Which satellite tuner did you get? H? L? Or N? Also, was all the wires already there?

I did a quick look saw the antenna and power wires. I'm sure the other one is there as well.

Default I bought an "H" box, but any of them should work...

I think early 08's came with L's and would assume that later 08's and probably the new 09's come with N's. Yes, everything is pre-wired so it's just a matter of finding them all. There are three wires down in there, the antenna and two others. One of them has a plastic connector on the end with a loop of wire that needs to be removed before it will attach to the Sirius box.

Default Thanks.

Got it installed last night. Everything worked. Hardest part was snapping in the box to the foam.
Thanks again for everyone's input.

I just bought my 2008 TT Quattro and would like to install the satellite receiver in the back. Would you care to describe (in detail) how to get this done? I'm a complete newb to any of this and would rather not have to pay $$$ at the dealership for them to install for me. Pictures would help along with instructions. Any help/guidance would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I installed rns-e and tried using symphony’s satellite module that’s located in trunk. I believe the letter ended in M. Everything Works except the satellite radio. Am fm works the xm doesn’t. So I purchased online a used 8E0 035 593 H module. Hope that works. Anyone else had this problem?

I think that one should be compatible, but also keep in mind that the RNS-E needs to be coded to recognize the tuner:
