Sorry if this post is redundant but I did a search on this topic and no one had a definitive answer. Simple question: does the MK2 come with a spare tire? I've seen pictures showing the cutout for one but no one seems to have an answer.

If it doesn't include a spare then I guess, for me, the only option is the runflats because I would never consider driving a car with a can of goop and an air compressor. I'm sorry but this just makes me laugh. What do you do if the damage is too significant for the goop to seal? Call AAA and have the car towed because of a flat? This is seriously stupid.

I was complaining about this to my brother the other day. He used to have a Z4 and said it didn't have a spare either. I guess there isn't enough room for one.

the cutout is a bit shallower, so vag decided to go with goop, and a compressor.

throw the goop out, keep the compressor, it's handy.

find someone local with an r32, who bought the tt spare, like i did, so you can test fit it.

for us, it sits better than half a centimeter proud of the deck surface. not a fit that vag wants to send out the door(especially when they can save money), but with the carpet panel over it, the fit is acceptable to me.

running with no spare is not acceptable to me.
