Default TPMS in 2010 TTS

Anyone know off hand if the TTS has the indirect system, which is no sensors in the wheel themselves. Tirerack is showing that, but now that I have the new set of wheels on................"Malfunction" ugh!

Anyone know off hand before I call the dealership?!?!!?

Thanks

I have a 2009 TTS and it has sensors. Regardless of the system, you have to push and hold (5 second I think but check the manual) the tire pressure "set" button on the far right just beneath the shifter.

Hope this helps,
Mike

I believe or I have been told that they change systems to sensorless wheels. I have tried the reset button to no success. Tirerack of course sent me wheels with no sensors, so hopefully, Audi put the new system in the 2010s.

Another way to check if you still have you original rims is to check the stems. If they are metal with a nut at the base, they are typically a sensor. If they are the typical rubber stem, then you have no sensors.

Well upon further investigation, the 2010 TTS uses sensors, contrary to what TireRack's database shows. Unlike 2010 model A4/A5/A6/Q5/Q7 which uses the indirect system.

If you are ordering from Tirerack do not let them tell you otherwise. They just sold me a wheelset that I consider useless now.

Tirerack is doing correcting the mistake.

What I have found interesting about TPMS equipment is that I can feel a need for inflation long before the system's parameters are reached. Piece of tech I just don't need.

Of course I never really wanted cuise control or ACC, either...
