TT Concert Stereo... can it be replaced?
Hey everyone! Hoping y'all can help out with the following question.
I've a line on a 3 month old TT with the following options for ~30K. Only 4K miles on it.
2009 Audi TT 2.0t quattro
Premium plus
18” wheels
Heated front seats
Audi Exclusive interior
The only problem I've come across so far is that it has the base Concert stereo and I really don't like it. (that and I want in-dash XM for MLB baseball).
Do you know if it can be done, or rather, reasonably done, to replace the head unit with an aftermarket option AND retain steering wheel controls?
Thanks!

I was a Chinese unit on the internet, but I think you might be better off with an OEM Navigation unit. Are you sure about the "Concert" unit? I have a 2008 with the Symphony II+ unit and you can easily add the XM system in the trunk area. I changed mine from Sirius to XM because I already had an account with them.
So, unless you want to try a Chinese unit, I'd stick with something that comes from Audi and add XM receiver to it.

Thanks for the reply. According to my Audi dealer, Sirius in the only option now. I have an '05 A6 4.2 and they said that was the last year they offered XM.
May have to just accept it for the deal it is.

Check out EBay, that's where I bought mine, and it swapped right in. I have an issue with the Antenna - my TT uses one antenna and the XM module wants two - so it displays the word "Antenna" on the radio but still works just fine.
