I noticed that the Audi web site shows that there's a TT roof rack system for hauling kayaks. What I noticed is that the cross bars are not very far apart. But... then I noticed that they aren't on my Avant either. The roof rack system is keyed to the twin roof rails and the distance, center to center, is 28 inches... which might actually be pretty similar to the TT... gasp!

First, if anyone is actually using the roof rack on their TT, could they/you measure the distance?

And secondly, has anyone here actually transported a sea kayak on the roof of their TT?

I might actually be able to move to a TT and still lug my boat around...

We all need to help find homes for orphan TTs.
