Default TT Owners: Anything Else On Your Radar?

I'm not typically a long term car owner. While I have held on to a couple of cars for over five years, I'm more likely to turn them in 24-36 months, and generally I'm looking around perpetually.

I'm in year three in the '09 TTS, and I don't see anything on the market that tempts me. If I wanted a second car (which I don't), a 5.2 R8 Spyder would be a trigger-pull, but as a daily driver, there's nothing out there that pumps my nads enough to exit this amazing car.

A long stretch might be one of the Aston Martin variants (they're pretty to look at, but in no way moreso than the TTS), but when you weigh the performance to dollars ratio, the aesthetics simply aren't enough to drag me away.

What's out there that other owners are considering?

TT RS?

Ducati Panigale? BMW K1600GT?

Those are the three on my list.

If you want a roof that doesn't move and you're trying to stay under six figures, TT-RS and it isn't even close.

If you want a convertible and want to stay under $100k, probably a 911.

If money isn't a particular issue, R8 or maybe a BMW M6 or a Benz ML 63/65 AMG (heresy, I know).

Of course, if money is REALLY no object, there's always a Veyron....

If they'd just send the DSG, I'd go TT-RS. Of daily driver options out there, that would be the most appealing.

Actually, an RS3 with the 7-speed DSG would be very high on the list too...

It is hard to say what would be a next car; the TT is pretty hard to beat (this is my third). I would probably go with a TTS if I did it again. If money was no option it would probably be an Aston Martin DB9 in a deep green. One can dream....

I'm driving my 3rd TTR in 10 years. Am thinking about trying another Mercedes SLK (owned one and really liked it) or maybe going with a Boxster. The problem is that I want a 365 days/year car and own homes in VT and MA....the Quattro is great. Would not be able to drive the other cars mentioned in bad New England weather and really have no interest in a fixed hardtop or an AWD Porsche. I do know that if not living where it snows, I definitely would not have a TT....3 and done....enough for me.

I agree on the TTRS, I would trade for one if it has DSG. I have a TTS coupe and it is great. I just had a major collision incident. Decided to repair the TTS since there is nothing on the market that is better. It is a great car; fast, economical, handles, comfortable, cold AC for the desert, and goes in snow for ski trips.
