Default I added some additional months, but over all, the numbers look good.

The TT numbers against the Cayman/Cayman S look good too.

December will be telling for all as I expect the credit crunch and housing market will take a bite out of the niche/low volume and sport car numbers of all manufactures.

from what I understood, their lease rates were crappy...but their discounts were good.

Default I don't think the MkI TT was a runaway success either...

I had one of the first MkI TT's off the boat, and I do recall that some dealers were selling above list for the first few months, but then deals could be had soon after that.

I'm in SoCal where the MkI TT was most popular, and I didn't see another one in my parts for six months after I got mine. With the MkII, I've seen three or four already.

If I can find the sales numbers for the MkI TT I'll post them.

Default the other things are: you could only get 6spd with the 3.2, and

most of the cars I saw were loaded up.
I would have been happy with a 6spd 2.0, instead of the 3.2. I just wanted the six speed.

Even with the GM Supplier discount I can get, the price per month was significantly higher

Default you have to consider that the Cayman has a lower volume of production.

so it's not a direct comparison....there are less Caymans that even make it over here, thus limiting the numbers you can get with em.

Default the MK1 had pretty big numbers in 2000, remember..

the numbers were highest in 2001 though, with different engines and specs being offered...these numbers fell around 2004 and then no more production after 2006.

i remember looking at TTs in 2003 when i got mine and they were still selling for a little bit below sticker, but they were still selling quite well.

i'm pretttty sure the numbers for the MK1 were bigger than the MK2s numbers are now...but as said before, the competition is stiffer now.

The MK1 was a truly unique car at the time too. The MKII is still unique but not to the same extent
