TTS exhaust/valance is a bolt-on for 2.0 S-lines
Just in case anybody hadn't noticed, the TTS exhaust and valance is a bolt-on for 2.0 S-lines. I just put it on my 2009 2.0 quattro and really think it is a significant visual improvement over the (IMHO) somewhat cheesy stock S-line rear valance. In addition to better looks, the exhaust note is a little deeper, but still quiet. I could be wrong about this, but the TTS exhaust may be of some help if you get your 200 HP motor chipped along the way (as the chip will probably get you half-way to the TTS's 270HP). The exhaust + valance cost was about equal to (or a bit less) than an aftermarket exhaust only (and if later on you want a hotter sounding exhaust, I'm sure all the manufacturers will have a quad exhaust for the TTS for you to pick from). I've really enjoyed working with Enrique Villa at Stevens Creek Audi in San Jose who took care of the parts and installation. Tell'm Bob sent you.

Re: how much was the down pipe?
Please excuse my ignorance, but my understanding is that this is a cat-back installation that doesn't change the down pipe (which is post-turbo but pre-cat no??). At any rate, the only parts I was charged for were a muffler, valance (aka "cover"), spoiler, and a clamp.
