Default TTS - price released for Canada...

The highly anticipated TTS Coupe and Roadster are on their way and I am pleased to announce that today the TTS Roadster has won the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada's prize of "2009 Best New Convertible" at the Car of the Year Awards! It is also with pleasure that I announce to you today pricing for both the TTS:

TTS Coupe MSRP $57,600
TTS Roadster MSRP $61,900

The TTS will be the sportiest model within the very impressive TT line-up however we did not skimp when it came to equipping this model with comforts not always associated with this performance level. The TTS models will feature all of the equipment of the 3.2 FSI models with the exception only of the audio package thus allowing an even more aggressive price point.

Consider for an MSRP only $450 more than the 3.2 FSI all of the following equipment will be added to the TTS models versus the 3.2 FSI:

- Advanced 2.0 TFSI engine with 265 hp and 258 lbs.ft (+15 hp; +22 ft.lbs)
- Audi Magnetic Ride (adaptive damping system, variation of shock absorber stiffness via magnetic field following analysis of road conditions by sensors, damping adapted to the given situation in milliseconds)
- Chassis lowered 10 mm
- Lighter (-77 lbs roadster, -33 lbs coupe)
- Better fuel economy (est. better by up to 2.0 L/100 km)
- Better performance 0-100km/h (est. faster by up to 0.2 seconds)
- TTS specific design 18" wheel with performance tires
- Leather Armrest
- Driver information with lap timer
- S - specific exterior design
- Side air inlets
- Chrome look radiator grille in platinum grey
- Engine compartment with TTS logo and oil cap)
- Sprint Blue and Solar Orange exclusive xterior colours
- Aluminum look exterior mirror housings
- Brake calipers painted black front and rear (TTS badge on front)
- S line rear bumper
- Diffuser trim in platinum grey with lower blade painted silver
- Twin tailpipe right and left with a fantastic engine sound

S - specific interior design

- TTS dial and TTS needle design
- S tronic gear **** and steering wheel with TTS badge
- Extended aluminum look interior with S specific brushed appearance
- Sports seats in Alcantara/leather
- Black headliner and posts
- Two coloured sport seats option in Nappa leather with one exclusive colour (orange inserts - which nicely compliment the exclusive solar orange exterior colour option).

Default Thanks very much Alex! One question...

Will the TTS have the tumors? I really hate those on my 3.2...

Is it just the exchange rate or is it taxes as well that jacks the price up in Canada?

I think it is because Canada is a "small" market

Default Don't agree...

The UK is Audi's largest TT market, they sold more Mk1's than every other country put together. The same TTS as per our specs in Canada is $75,000.00 at today's exchange rate? That's $13,100.00 more than Canada.

It's a lot shorter trip from Hungry to the UK than Canada or the US.

Taxes and perhaps larger margins by dealerships? My local dealer just slashed a 2008 3.2 fully loaded coupe this week by $9000.00.

I sure as hell didn't get an $9000.00 discount when I purchased mine new and I have purchased 4 cars from them.

Perhaps this is my last Audi from Canada... :-(

Probably, bloody awful, what a great way to ruin the look of that car...
