Which one to get?
I can get a new Elise SC (supercharged) for just under 50K. Car looks fantastic. It would be used as a daily driver in CT.
I have also been looking at the TTS. The car is much cheaper. I think I could get one for 44K for the premium plus loaded car. Anyone around this price?

I had a 2005 Elise with the touring and sport package. A lot of fun, loved the car but always lived in fear of it getting damaged. If you take a driveway too fast at the wrong angle, you can scrape off the front pretty easily as well as even crack the fiberglass. If you get hit in the rear, you are looking at 20K+ worth of damage, and if you get hit in the front around 15K+. In a lot of cases, if the chassis gets bent, its game over. Have the car checked out by the dealer before you buy it. Bent Chassis = Salvaged. Word of caution. Never parallel park the car. I know of countless owners whom had theirs run over by SUVs that don't see them.
The car was great for weekend trips. I even used it as a daily driver for over a year. As long as you are very careful where you park it and drive with caution, it is a great car. Loved it and plan on getting another one in the future.
So why did I sell it? We had a baby and the priorities changed... I also missed the finish in my old 2001 TT. Now I have a 2008 3.2 and look forward to the release of the RS.

If you can wait a little, a better question is TTS vs. Lotus Evora:
