Turbos and letting engines idle to cool it off
Long time ago I hear that turbo cars needs a few seconds/minute of idling before you turn it off to let the turbos cool down. Is that still valid today - or at least with the TT's turbo sytem?

Only really necessary if you've been driving hard immediately before shutting it down.
10 minutes or so of normal driving after a hard run should be enough to cool the oil down to normal temps. Synthetic helps keep it from coking.

not really valid anymore....I believe most turbo cars, TT included, have electronics that circulate
either coolant or oil for a few minutes after shutdown to help cool the turbo down.
