I'm wondering if I could get some advice. Which would be a better buy a 2.0T or a 3.2. I'm looking to buy slightly used. I figure I can chip the 2.0 up to the 3.2 or TTS levels. If that's not true please set me straight. Also, I've heard the 3.2 is a little nose heavy. I dealt w/ that in an A4 and it was not good!
I would go for a TTS, but I'm trying to save some $$.
I want a DSG and Quattro. Those are my two must haves.
Thanks.

If I were buying now, I look preowned and I'd most likely buy a TTS. I know you said you were trying to save coin and as soft as the car market is, I'd say you could get a smoking deal on one and start out with a quick, KO4 turbo'd engine. One that is a tune away from being a pretty fast car.
Second choice would be a standard 2.0T. The 3.2 sounds really good and is plenty quick, but very limited in mods. Unless you want to drop some serious $ for a turbo kit. Mileage isn't the best either, if that's important.
Good luck with your search, you'll enjoy which ever you choose.

John

Well, yes and no. Power wise, you could fairly easily reach a TTS with a KO3'd 2.0T. The problem comes after that, if you're interested in what's after that. The TTS has upgraded internals, revised intercooler and a KO4. You're starting with more, so it's easier to get more down the road. Again, it may be overkill for what you're looking for, but my .02
Oh and contrast stitching on the TTS interior. That's at least 10 whp right there, maybe 12 on a sunny day.

By the way, I see you have a 335i. I drove an E92 M3 with DCT, very impressed. If I didn't have my TT, I'd be looking for a "lightly loved" M3 right now. Word on the street is they're going for $46-48 with 8-10k on them. Hell of alot of car for the $.
From your sig, I take it you're less than enthused by your car. Care to share why?
