I like the look/design of it, if it's in the Mid $20K range, I'd buy it in a heart beat..
however, looking at Zerin's pics, the interior seems to have that plasticy cheapish look to it (look at the dash/center console/"trans tunnel"

Most likely to keep the weight down as much as possible...but I'd still buy it if the seats were comfy...

I don't think so...
-The VW will be the cheap version with smaller performance.
-The Audi version (Baby R?) will be all tech with quattro, mag ride and more lux.
-The Porsche version will be... well a Porsche!
Personally I'm waiting for the rumored Porsche or Audi version!

I agree, I think this one is going to be poised to go after the Miata/Sky/Solstice market...
with an appropriate price point to match.
Materials quality will be VW, but I think they are really going for simple, light, cheap.
