Default Oh, a boost controller... NO NO NO NO AND NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*SLAPS HAND*

Do NOT put a boost controller on a 2.0T. The boost falling off is a function of the turbo and nothing else. You don't want to run a boost controller on these cars!

Wait until there is a K04 kit or big turbo for the car and go that route. Do NOT go ghetto hack boost controller.

Default Bad for the engine in general...

Is this your first turbo car? The turbo on the 2.0T is tiny...it just can't keep up in the higher RPM ranges. You sacrifice sustained boost on the top for quicker spool down low. If you put a K04 or larger turbo on the car, it will hold boost longer, but take slightly quicker to spool.

Simply throwing a boost controller on the car will do nothing but harm the engine. Without proper compensation for air/fuel, timing, and a whole host of other things, all it will do is harm the engine.

Again, the boost falling off is a function of the turbo's size, not the engine management or boost levels.

I had an 02 TT w a GT2X turbo , fmic, 440 injectors and more and had a MBC with that. So I know that wasnt a problem. But even with the GIAC chip a BC is bad? I think their chip has remapped the A/F some cuz they say to get the most from the chip you need CAI and better exhaust.

Default Fueling is a much bigger deal with the 2.0T than the 1.8T.

Honestly, I don't think a CAI will do much for the 2.0T. I've got a Carbonio on mine, and aside from the looks, I think I'd rather have the stock airbox. A test pipe and exhaust definitly opened my car up though.

Default Re: Our cars are very sophisticated in terms of computer controlled fueling...

Not looking for more boost, looking for longer lasting boost. My last TT basically spiked to the higher boost level and then dropped considerably to hold at a lower point. Was hoping the BC would hold the boost at the programmed level longer.

Bike Cat would do wonders for boost actually. He's my #1 friend on myspace.
