Default Lug centric Hartmann wheels?

I bought a set of Hartmann HRS6 wheels for the TTS and noticed they are not hub centric. When installing them, I had to line up a couple lugs to get them on since the hub is noticably smaller than the wheel hub. I emailed ACH Tuning a little over a week ago wanting to make sure this is normal and safe to drive, but I'm still waiting for their response. Any input on this?

You probably didn't get the hub centric rings that snap into the wheels. At least my Hartmann wheels came with these. But the real centering is done with the ball seat lugs as you tighten them.

They should have sent along the hub centric rings with the wheels. ECS Tuning has them for short money: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...ur/ap666571~k/

As S4Bloom indicates the lug bolts do the heavy lifting but the rings do offer anti-vibration assurance. I use them on my aftermarket winter rims.

So would it be dangerous to leave them on without the rings? It's currently -13 degrees here so if rather not work on the car until maybe.... April.

I quite empathize as it's only been 35 degf for a week now in my insulated but unheated garage. Again, the lug bolts do the work of affixing the rims and given their ballseat design they align quite well.
