I factory ordered a Nardo Gray TT RS loaded (US) except for the Dynamic Plus Package. MSRP was something like $74,025. I negociated down to $70,915. My car has been allocated and built, is in the mail, and should be stateside middle of October. I am very excited!

Very well done. Around here (Portland, OR) there are two/three allocations backed up with buyers. Where are you?

The NY region. I actually ordered the car back in May/June so I waited for allocation but as I am currently deployed overseas, time was on my side, knowing I wouldn't be able to drive the car until I returned stateside anyhow. I imagine many dealers can leverage buyers when instant gratification is ever tempting. Additionally I simply made it clear I was going to buy the car from whatever dealer on the eastern seaboard or Midwest would sell me the vehicle at a fair percentage above invoice (Audi doesn't have holdback money on their invoice pricing); it was just a matter of which dealer. That enabled me to control the negotiation a little bit, but there were several dealers who would simply not budge from MSRP, trying to tell me I was fortunate they weren't charging over it (laughable ploy). I found a dealership that was personable and reasonable and we were able to strike a fair deal.

Default $1900 under MSRP

I made a deal today. I reached out to a good number of dealers in a 4 hour radius and found a couple willing to meet my offer.

Looking back, I probably could have done even better. That's why looking back is no way to live! I pick it up next weekend, and 'm really excited about my new ride.

How is the supply of cars out there? My dealer has all their allotment sold though the end of the year.

Only 26 listed on cars.com in the US. I’d say things are tight but then again I don’t think there is a huge market for the car either.

Yup, and yet there are plenty of RS3's.

Lots of of RS3's available in this neck of the woods but the dealerships can't get enough TT RS, I ordered mine and just payed the MSRP without argue or even asking. I was in the dealership a week ago talking to the dealership principle and he was trying to get more TT RS's in, they got their allotment but he says he could move more easily if he could get them.
