Sitting in the passenger seat of my wife’s car, I was looking at the side window and I thought to myself the window looks awful, dirty, almost like there were circular spots on the glass. I took my camera out and took a picture of the glass with the window open slightly, and I didn’t see anything?? I then took a picture of the window glass with my sunglasses in front of my phone and got a picture of what I’m actually seeing with my glasses on. Is this a polarized effect or is this how the Audi glass is supposed to look thanks .
That is due to polarization on your lenses. It is picking up the heat treatment on the glass.
Put on non-polarized sunglasses, and you will not see that at all.
Take a look at MANY other vehicles with those polarized sunglasses on, and you will see all kinds of strange patterns on the windows.
