Default Oil level status in MMI?

I'm embarrassed to cite that I can't seem to find the subject oil level status bar in the MMI. I could have sworn I found it once before but perhaps I was thinking back to my prior Audi's. I checked the owner's manual and no mention of same.

The "car" sub-menu (with dedicated button) in prior was much easier to navigate than the TT's "vehicle." It's the one sub-menu that is inconsistent with the others imho.

At least I have a dipstick, which I had to 3rd party add to prior rides.

TIA

Im doing this from memory, but I believe you left drawer in the onboard computer menu, go down to serving and checks, and there should be one for oil level.

Nope, not in service and checks, where I too expected it to be. I did have one MMI s/w update. Perhaps it is now gone?

Huey, the Owner's Manual suggests it's checked via the dipstick.

Pretty sure it just has a dip stick.

They are right. It is only via the dipstick.

What I stated above is for the R8, not the TT. The only oil related info you can see via the virtual cockpit in the TT is oil temp and service interval.

Maybe there's some clever VCDS tweaking to enable it in the MMI ?

It is missing the necessary hardware in order to do that. It isn't something that can be enabled via software.

OK, thanks. I had no idea. (and it's a bit surprising they start leaving hardware off cars at this price point)
