'01 Jetta TDI O1M Fault 00652 3-4 gearshift
Hello,
I have a Jetta TDI with a newly rebuilt 01M tranny. It was brand new in March 06, and it blew-up on me in June. When I say blew-up, I mean that when put into gear, it would stall the engine. Found metal filings in the ATF so I sent the tranny back. They said it had a problem with the torque converter bearing, so they rebuilt the tranny (July) shipped it back and I had a local tranny shop re-install the transmission(2 weeks ago).
They solved the problem with the torque converter because I can put it into gear without it stalling the engine dead. But, I now have a tranny that I cannot use 4th gear without the tranny shifting as though it is about to jump out of the car. The 3-4 gearshift is horrible. The Vag-Com fault code that I get is:
1 Fault Found:
00652 - Gear Monitoring
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
Today I replace the TR switch and cleared the code, reset the basic setting(kick-down) and the car shifts exactly the same. The other gear shifts are smooth, but my 3-4 is spine breaking.
My hunch is electrical, but who knows.
Any thoughts or questions are appreciated.
Thanks
Ryan
