Default 1998.5 A4 new ABS module installation

Previously I was not able to communicate with my ABS module at all but then performed a DIY repair on it, and have since been able to maintain communication. However, I get this fault code now:

Tuesday,08,June,2010,20:35:51:62551
VCDS Version: Release 908.2
Data version: 20100326

Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 8E0-614-111-EDS.lbl
Control Module Part Number: 8E0 614 111 P
Component and/or Version: ABS/EDS 5.3 FRONT D31
Software Coding: 0273004133
Work Shop Code: BB 24304
2 Faults Found:

65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
00-00 - -
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
00-00 - -

To me this means the ABS module is faulty, despite the "fix" I performed. I have another non-communicating ABS unit I intend to send out for repair to replace the current one, but am unsure if it will be a "plug and play" type of thing.
According to the Ross Tech website there is no chance of coding this module, however, I wonder if I will need to follow any steps in VAG-COM to set up/initialize the replacement module?

Thanks!

No, that module does not support coding. Replacing it with the correct, new/good unit should be plug and play.
