Default A4 - how to interpret coding for steering wheel module 16

I recently swapped out my steering wheel for one that includes tiptronic buttons. It was an option for the 2005 A4 (B6 model). I am now trying to recode the steering wheel module to recognize this new steering wheel and have a question. I am using the info from here (see link)

My current code is 01041. I tried recoding to 01141 but this changes nothing (the tip buttons on the steering wheel do not work) and I am wondering if I am interpreting '+1' correctly. What is the difference between '1' and '+1'? What should my new code be? btw, no fault code on the swap and no fault codes after recoding (and everything else ie cruise etc. still works)

Default Post complete data from the steering wheel module please.

The part number of the new steering wheel might be useful too.

As far as the +1, it means that digit needs to be an odd number for tiptronic and an even number without. Since that's the only documented option, 0 or 1 are the only documented choices. It's possible other values would work, but I don't have any info on what they might mean.

<center><img src="http://members.shaw.ca/youngsuk/ScreenShot001t.jpg"></center><p>According to my records the p/n for the new steering wheel should be 8P0-419-091 P 8UD. This is the steering wheel from an B6 A4 Ultrasport/S-line.

Thanks, appreciate any help.

Default The TCU coding must be correct for SW TIP function also.....

In addition, the specific steering columb combinagtion switch control module PN for use with the MFSW.

<center><img src="http://members.shaw.ca/youngsuk/ScreenShot002.jpg"></center><p>Thanks, for the pic posted in my message on 3/29 I can see that the part number for the Steering Column Combination switch control is 8EO 953 549N which I am assuming is the right part number (looking at ETKA all B6 2005s have this part no distinction between USP (which has the steering wheel I have installed) and non-USP (which is where my old steering wheel came from).

Above is a shot of the Module 2 which is the TCU module ... again I think I have it coded right since the 4th value from the right is coded for Tiptronic with paddle/buttons.

I'm still stuck!!

Thanks

Default Try coding the TCU with "0000002" and see if the tip shift buttons work....

Also, the clock spring should be the same, but confim that is the case if the suggested TCU coding does not activate the shift buttons.

Default Thanks - tried that and the shift buttons still do not work

Also I checked ETKA and there is only one clock spring (canceling ring) listed for 2005 A4 so I am assuming that since there is only one that I have the right one.

I do notice and I think I mentioned it earlier that the tip buttons do not light up at all so I am thinking that there is no 'power' going to these buttons at all (but then maybe getting the right code/part would fix that).

Thanks for any and all help!!!
