I have the following intermittent CANbus faults: AWD to/from ECU and AWD to/from ABS. Because AWD comm is implicated in all faults, the fault must be either:
1) AWD module
2) AWD connector (possibly, but other pins are OK)
3) CANbus node in the wiring harness (will NEVER find this)
I plan on checking resistance from ABS to AWD on high/low CAN lines.
Does anyone have experience with this fault or any other suggestions for troubleshooting (VAG-COM just unpacked and Bentley CD in the mail... to impatient to wait)!
Bonus question: the ESP lamp is illuminated on the dash. Does this mean only ESP is inactive or AWD as well? The Bentley repair manual does not clearly advise.

This is a fairly common issue. But since you're new, I'll say that it couldn't hurt to post a complete auto-scan so people can see exactly what faults you've go in which modules, and what the module part numbers are. Use to Copy or Save buttons on the Auto-Scan screen.
