Default A/C stuck in "econ"

I noticed --on a 10 hour trip--that my A/C is not working. When I first hit the "auto" button the "econ" light goes out for 1 second and then comes back on. It will not go off again and there is no cold air. I am getting a code: "00819 - High pressure sensor (G65) 07-00 - Signal too Low"

The measuring blocks read "Group 001/High pressure signal (G65)/9.5%" and "Group 001/Refrigerant Circuit Pressure (G65)/1.0 bar". These reading may not mean much as the compressor is not on during the readings.

Is it safe to assume that I am just low on refrigerant? I assume if there was an issue with wiring or the sensor it would say "implausible signal" or "short" or something. Yes?

I would certainly have a shop with AC equipment look at it.. if the pressure is good, they'll have to drain it so you can replace the high pressure switch...

Not sure on Audi but in HVAC in general anytime you're having high pressure signals it's almost always because if low refrigerant
