Default Can I manually reset an Airbag light without a VAGCOM?

1995 Audi 90, Front Wheel Drive

Tinkering little fixes, per my usual, but this time I disconnected the airbag quick connector where your knees go not knowing that it would take a VAGCOM to reset it once I reconnected the connector. So the wiring is good and everything should be as sound as it was before I disconnected that. But I know I don't have an airbag until it is reset because I caused the fault.

My question is do I need to take this to a dealer or mechanic to do it or can I do it myself manually or analog without the VAGCOM? I found a guy who can do it for 25 bucks if he has the right tool. Free without the drive is better to me. What do you guys think? Since I won't get a reply probably till later, I'm going to disconnect the battery ground and drain everything I can in hopes that that might reset it. I don't have high hopes.

Thanks for reading, hope you can reply!

No, you cannot reset an airbag light without a diagnostic tool.
