Default comfort control module

My 98 A6q avant is currently without any functioning sunroof, electric windows and interior lighting, this includes opening doors or switching on the map reading lights.

I did have a faulty control unit, but have now replaced this with a brand new one. I now currently have 1 fault as below, can anyone help me before the car goes to audi and i have to sell my organs. thanks

Address 35 -------------------------------------------------------

Component: Zentralverrieg.,DWA D35
Coding: 04939
Shop #: WSC 00000

Default Repair manual suggests only one possible cause

"Short to Ground in wiring"

and simply states:

"Use wiring diagram to perform troubleshooting".

Default It may be a long shot, but you may want to give this a try...

thanks for the pointers - I shall have a go with fuse 14. I was still getting the short to ground problem with the seat removed (passenger here in the UK) but I shall try with the drivers seat at the weekend..
thanks - shall keep you posted.

Default Re: comfort control module

Bit of an update - so far the car has not been to audi, but seriously considering it now.. I thought that maybe there could be a loose connection in the multiplugs at the bottom of the A post. It now turns out that when all the door are closed I get no door open on the taco display -good as it should be. But from opening either drivers door (this is a UK car) or either of the rear doors the display shows all doors open bar the front passenger. upon that door being closed display changes to all door closed..
I cant see a problem with the wiring.. (but i cant have checked everywhere) my fuse 14 has not blowen (this is fuse 14 in the fuse box at the A post interior yeah??)
Maybe i dont the the correct programing for the comfort module? can someone supply me with the UK spec?

thanks

Ps I still have the airbag light on and i still cant connect to the airbag module using vag. - control unit not responding..

any pointers would be great help..
Ian.
