Convenience open with remote
After careful study of the VCDS manual and Wiki I tried to turn this on today with no luck.
This is a 2005 A8L (D3/4E)
On [46] Comfort I went to channel 61.
61 read 34.
I tried adding 15 to it based on this logic:
+001 = Comfort Closing: Window Regulators via Remote Control
+002 = Comfort Opening: Window Regulators via Remote Control
+004 = Comfort Closing: Sunroof via Remote Control
+008 = Comfort Opening: Sunroof via Remote Control

=15, so the adaption was 15+34=49. But no joy, remote locks/unlocks but won't open windows.
Tried several variants, including 15, 255 (for everything but cylinder), +255, etc.
Eventually put it back to 34 and decided I need help.
Of note but possibly not relevant: keys 1&2 Personalisation read 1807, 3&4 read 1552.
Any advice? Autoscan follows.

A slightly more detailed procedure for others: as listed in the earlier post: go to controller 46> Adaptation>function 10 Channel 61. Enter the number of your desired bells & whistles you want to activate. I enabled all of them so the number is 1023. Save, close controller.
Then, same controller (46) but go to > Coding 07 > My original setting was 65054. I added the 64 which enables the remote control (key fob) "Do It/save"

That was the ticket. Adding 64 to the coding as well as changing adaption to 255 turned it on!
For some reason my sunroof doesn't open, could be ancient MMI version. I'm a happy camper though.
Please use the Ross-Tech Wiki for you model, this was specific to A8 4E platform.
A word of advice: Autoscan and check adaption first. Doing math in the car while balancing a laptop ain't that pretty at all!
