Do I need to clear fault codes?
I believe I have repaired a faulty part on my Audi, with the help of the VAG-COM diagnostic system. Do I now need to manually clear the fault code using the VAG-COM or will it clear automatically once the ECU unit sees that the fault has been resolved and thereby also clear the check engine system management light on the dashboard? Please advise?

Yes, clear faults if you have repaired the condition that caused them.
Some will clear on their own after a certain number of driving cycles (varies by the specific fault) but you may as well clear them.
