Default Do I need to reflash????

I bought an ECU with an APR chip same year and everything Execpt it was quatrro and mine is FWD. The guys at APR have given me both yes and no. One guy told me that it would work but that it could mess with the cars electronics and possibly have other problems too in the long run. I called a different time and they told me that it had to be reflashed for FWD and would work right without it. Can I just reflash it at a shop or do I have to send it to buttfvck Alabama....I live in the Los Angeles area...if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated...

Default It wouldn't hurt to check the Soft Coding and Recode if necessary

In Engine, the soft coding for your A4 should be:

06051

The quattro setting is:

06251

Here's the breakdown of the digits:

Digits 1&2:
06 = USA

Digit 3:
0 = FWD, without ASR
1 = FWD with ASR
2 = quattro without ASR
3 = AWD with ASR

Digit 4:
0 = manual trans
5 = auto trans

Digit 5:
1 = Audi A4
