ECU swap question...
So I have read the ECU swap steps on Ross-Tech's web site, but I have one lingering question. I am trying to help out two AWers who swapped ECUs. One was chipped, sold it in exchange for the stock ECU.
The stock ECU has not yet been working, since we need to get the SKC code from the dealer (using the immobilizer code and the VIN). We have the soft code from the original chipped ECU, so we can verify that the stock ECU matches after the SKC information is entered via the VAG COM.
However, the original owner of the stock ECU wants his soft code as well to verify his settings. Can the original soft code be pulled?
Any help is appreciated! TIA!<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/Immo3-ecu-swapping.html">Ross Tech's ECU swapping instructions</a></li></ul>

You can read the Soft Code even if the ECU hasn't been matched
