Default F125 problem

A6 Avant 2.5 TDI CVT 2002.I'm new to the world of Audi and need help from those with knowledge. Fault F125 has come up on a diagnosis .The problem is with the PRND display going on and off when off Icannot select R .This comes and goes and never a problem with performance. Is F125 the transmission range switch if so where is it and what do i do with it once i've found it.Any help would be appreciated. Also ,would low ATF cause a problem like this?

Default F125 is not an error code it's a component code referring to Multi-Function Switch (F125).

What about posting your specific error code instead? Best with an Auto-Scan then we would be able to check which transmission you are talking about too...
