Freezes up during auto-scan
Just downloaded newest update on my Dell laptop and was doing an auto scan on my '06 A8 SWB sport- froze up at the radio controller stage- mouse wouldn't work, control-alt-delete did nothing. Turned off computer and then back on- tried again and it froze again about half way thru the auto scan.
Any ideas?

What version of Windows?
Make sure that power management on your PC isn't shutting the USB ports down.

Device Manager _> USB Root Hub -> Properties -> Power Management. Uncheck "Allow Windows to turn off this device to save power" and do this for each USB Root Hub.
