Default Help and thoughts with misfire problems..

I have swapped the ignition coils between cylinder banks and the misfires have not moved with the ignition coils. I have changed my sparkplugs as well with no changes. I have tried a new ICM as well.

I am still getting misfires (always now) on cylinder bank 3 ONLY, before it was intermitten and was driveable... not anymore :-(

Well here is the log info.. i wouldn't worry about the other cylinders since after I cleared them they only logged in cylinder 3 (I had to drive home like this, wasn't fun).

I also measured them live below the initial log. HELP!

I'm thinking it is the FUEL INJECTOR.. thoughts?

Got my VAG COM Cable today from Ross Tech... so far so good.. used my buddies prior, but he had an older version for his VW and I wanted to change some things on my A5 as well (CAN). the misfires just happened to expedite my purchase!

Default Updated / Resolved for those that have similar issues

Although the ICM was replaced with a new OEM one, it failed again with about 1000 miles on them. This caused the problem again along with some intermittent car starting problems when warm.

Cold starts were not a problem.

Default Check the ingition modules:

There are two ingition modules mounted on the air filter assembly. Swap them and see if your misfire moves to a different cyl. If thats the case, make sure you use fresh heat sink silicon lube when you replace the module.

Sparkster, I am curious if you found what was going on with your car? I believe that I am having the exact same issue as you and wondering if you found the cause.

Either way that you for your help,
Carlos
