Default Hood sensor switch electrical cable was severed and alarm not arming

Just out of curiosity why did VAG not pick that up? Or did I not go to the correct screen for it?

Please don't kill me for asking, I am a noob.

Default I'd imagine the VAG just thought your hood was open...

...cause the wire just runs to a switch which opens/closes with the hood. Would your horn honk when you armed the car?..assuming it was coded to do so. The alarm (not locks) won't activate if there is an open circuit in either of the doors, hood, trunk, etc. Good luck with it.

Default The horn would not honk...

..but when I did the output tests it never told me the hood was open though.
