Default I am a very satisfied VAG COM owner/user. I have a question regarding my security system.

My car is an 01' TT Roadster 225.

I got these codes last night:

Address 35: Centr. Locks
Part No: 8N7 962 267 A
Component: Central Lock/Alarm D04
Coding: 15900
Shop #: WSC 01236

3 Faults Found:
01366 - Opened Due to Crash Signal
35-00 - -
01370 - Alarm triggered by Interior Monitoring
35-00 - -
01616 - Signal Wire to Interior Monitor
36-10 - Open Circuit - Intermittent

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Address 45: Inter. Monitor
Part No: 8N7 951 177
Component: Innenraumueberw. D13
Coding: 00001
Shop #: WSC 00000

1 Fault Found:
01463 - Alarm triggered by Sensor for anti-theft alarm System
43-00 - Closed

It looks kind of like a module failure of some kind. Any thoughts?

Everything else is clean, not other faults found.

Thanks!

Case

Default Except for the 01616

these are all "advisory" codes which just tell you why the alarm went off at some point. These stay forever unless you clear them. It's rare to see a car that doesn't have a few "Alarm" codes.

Now the 01616 code, that points at an actual fault, but it's "intermittent" meaning the fault condition didn't exist at the time you scanned the car.

I'd clear clear all of them and not worry in the least unless you've got some actual problem symptoms (such as repeated false alarms) or unless the 01616 keeps coming back.

Thanks Ewe. Can I reduce the sensitivity on the interior monitor? How?

Default Calling Uwe by that name is a good way to get on his BAAAAAAAAA----D side.

Try this:

[Select]
[45 - Int. Monitor]
[Adaptation - 10]
Enter channel 01
Enter a value between 50-100 (it should be 100 by default) for the sensitivity of the ultra-sound sensors
[Save]
