lamda reading, have some questions.....
I've read that it's supposed to idealy be "0.0". But I'm getting a +14.1 consistently. Also my 02s sometimes go way negative for a short moment, like -24.1 or something. Then goes back to hoving around +-3.0.
Are these kinds of readings normal for a chiped 2.8? I have a 98.5 with 115k miles. I don't have any symptoms right now - just the exhaust sometimes smells kinda rich at times. But from what I've read, the lamda reading would be negative if I were running rich. Correct? Also, once in a while I get a really rough start and idle. I've had a one-way valve changed on the back of the engine that was clogged, the vac-line recall done, and a new MAF. Any thoughts?

I think you don't have a wide band lambda, just a "standard" heated O2 sensor.
Voltage should be between about .2-.8 volt for primary, switching a couple times a second.
What are you testing with to get the -24.1? Are you looking at fuel trim in a measuring block?
