Can someone please explain the setup below. I want to know what does each do to the wiper.


Channel 013: Wiper Setup
Standard: 115
+001 = Speed Reset
+002 = Short to Plus Monitoring
+004 = Rain Sensor active
+008 = Long Post Wiping after Washing (Drop/Tear Wiping)
+016 = Speed dependent Wiper interval active
+032 = Headlight Washer System active
+064 = Reverse Gear Wiping active


What does Standard setup 115 do?
If for example I don't want "Speed dependent Wiper interval active" do I minus 16 from 115?


my next question:

Channel 020: Rain-/Light Sensor Setup
Standard: 2
+01 = Highway Light
+02 = Rain Light
+04 = Rain Closing (Sunroof & Windows)


I tried to add 4 on the Standard 2 but it says error. How do I activate Rain Closing? I don't have sunroof by the way.

A value of 115 is the 'standard' value for that channel.

Beginning with "115", and adding each option enables that option.

Speed reset, ?

Short to plus monitoring, enables the monitoring for a short circuit to the positive wire.

enables rain sensor.

additional post wash wiper cycles enabled.

Speed related interval length wipe enabled.

Headlight washers enabled.

Reverse gear wiping enabled.

For all of the above options enabled/activated, the channel value would be "242".

To deactivate speed interval, subtract 016 from the ORIGINAL value, not the standard value.

I tried to subtract 16 from the original value the speed interval still enabled.

The wiper, when I select to "intermittent wipe" it depends on how fast I am going.. The quicker I go the faster the wipe. I just want to remove this.

Which option does my original value activates?

127-016= 111. Your original coding was 114, so 127-114=013 therefore, what combinations of the available option codes can combine to sum 13? Once that is figured out, that will show the disabled options originally.
Try 111 to disactivate the speed dependant wiper interval.

try coding channel 20 to 006 to activate rain closing of the windows.

Please post a complete scan of all the controllers in your RS4.

I have the same coding on my '08 A4 114, without the convenience package. So no light sensor, no rain sensor. It doesnt do the after wipe or the reverse activated wipe...

Any ideas on this ?

Resurrecting old thread;

Reverse wipe only applies to the Avant; if front wipers are activated, putting into reverse gear activates the rear window wiper.

After-wipe occurs after you have sprayed washer fluid on the front window.

Both these functions work for me but I do have the light (auto-dimmming rear mirror) and rain sensor options.
