Need help with ECU & Immo
I have an A6 V6 2,6 -96 with ECU problems. Bought a "new" ECU from the scrapyard but I need to program the immobiliser so that it will accept the new ECU and start.
I've figured out that I have immo 2 or maybe even immo 1 since I access it by going to 25 - immobiliser in VAG-COM.
Is it possible to program the immobilser to accept the new ECU without having to use the SKC? (the owner before me throwed it away and VAG isn´t very helpful when it comes to these things).
I´ve read about this "http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/immobilizer2.html". Will it work and will I need to reprogram my carkeys after this operation? What does "factory deafults" mean in this case? Will it scan the new ECU and remember it´s "fingerprint" or what?
I know that the keys are matched to the immobiliser, but will they work together after the "save to channel 00 in the immobilser"?
I'm desperate to get this information because I need the car to be running before I go abroad.
regards

Do what it says on that page
A Channel 00 Adaptation at the Immo match the the ECU to the Immo, and it should do so without affecting the matching of your keys.

Re: Do what it says on that page
Wohoo! It worked!
I really owe you one Uwe. I´ve had problems with this car for a really long while now and without you and VAG-COM I would have paid at least +1000 Euro to yhe local Audi dealer.
2005 couldn't have started better than this.
