O2 sensor questions

O2 sensor questions
OK, a while back the wife tried to get the car inspected and they told her the readiness wasn't available. Shortly after that we got a CEL. Don't remember the codes but it was for ca inefficiency and secondary airflow. Found a loose combi valve and had the dealer fix. Two days later the CEL came back indicating cat efficiency. I tried the spark plug defouler trick since we have a HFC installed and the car drove for a few days without a CEL and when connected we got the following info.
VAG-COM Version: Release 607.3-UD
Control Module Part Number: 4B0 906 018 CH
Component and/or Version: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0001
Software Coding: 16201
Work Shop Code: WSC 63351
2 Faults Found:
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-00 - -
16524 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S2: No Activity
P0140 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000
So it was indicating readiness was OK but still had two codes with no CEL. So we cleared the codes and the next day the CEL came up. I asked the wife to run over to Advance Auto Parts to get the code read since I would have much time to do it and she got P0136 indicating that the post cat sensor had malfunctioned. Since the previous day indicated a high resistance I checked it and found it to be 12 ohms. Is there anything else I could check? I just don't want to start buying a bunch of parts hoping I finally get fixed and end up spending a fortune...any ideas?

Sounds like the problem is either the rear O2 sensor of the wiring between it and the ECU.
Also, Release 607.3 is old, you should download and install Release 704.1<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/current.html">http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/current.html</a</li></ul>

I suspected the wiring so
the last time I check the resistance of the heater I had the wife flexing the wire a bit to see it it would break the continuity but nothing....so I guess I should just replce the sensor?
