I doubt it. There is an ambient light sensor on the round hole just below the rearview mirror that sees the light from cars behind you. The mirror is a stand alone device. No computer, I think.

Does the ON/OFF button on the mirror reset after key is removed?

Haven't tried on mine 'cause I like the feature

Good question. Don't know. My RS6 doesn't have an on/off button. The S4 is my brothers.

You could unplug the harness connector to the interior mirror.
