Default Perhaps a basic coding question...

I want to disable the seat belt chime on my 05 allroad. On my 02, the chime wasn't as near as often. No, I don't drive without my seatbelt, but when I'm in the garage, with the door closed, no shoes on even, and I'm messing around with an ECU trying to figure out if I'm getting any more DTC for a switch, the chime gets rather annoying.

So I found this: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...2000%29#Coding

It says:
??xxx: Options
+01 = Larger Fuel Tank (80 liters for 8-Cylinder Quattro and S6)
+02 = Seatbelt Warning active
+04 = Tires for Allroad (MY 2002+)
+16 = Navigation System (w/o CAN Connection)

The code is currently 20283. So if I'm reading that right, I should subtract 2 from the 20 and thus make the whole code 18283. However, when I input that it wont take. It stays as 20283. I added 2, and the code took. But of course the seat belt chime continued.

What code do I need to put in to get it to work?

Thanks.

Suggest you have a look at this link instead of the one you were using

A 2005 allroad definitly is a 4BH model, therefor the original coding table should apply. snokarver, please be so kind and post an Auto-Scan from the vehicle in question - that may allow us to look at this a little closer and figure out whats wrong here.

Thanks, but the ross tech site is actually confusing in this case. They it it as:
Audi A6/S6/RS6/allroad (4B) 1997 - 2006
Audi A6/S6/RS6/allroad (4F) 2005+

It's the same platform as the 2001-2004 ar - c5

Thanks, but for various reasons I can't post anything from directly the VAG scan, I'd have to retype it all. If you want to know what ECUs are present, I think I have a list of those.

I'm not trying to be a pain, and I know you just made the request so you could help me... much appreciated.
