Default Possible Tiptronic problem

I have scanned my ECM a couple times now and found the result under transmission. It will clear and then come back in a few days. I have also noticed that, especially in the morning, the car "clunks" in a down shift from 2nd to 1st. Below are the results. I have recently put a new ECM in the car, and just changed the timing belt this weekend. Please tell me my tranny is still good.

I doubt that fault code is indicative of a major transmission problem, but you should probably do a reality check on the temperature sensor: Access the transmission, look in Mesuring Block Group 004 and see what it shows in the morning after the car has been sitting all night, as well as watching what it does as the car warms up. Checking the wiring between the sensor and the TCU might also be called for.

As Uwe said check the wiring between the sensor and the TCM. The temperature sensor is integrated into the internal cable in the 01V transmission and is accessable by removing the pan. I don't know how easy it is to remove the pan.

The OP's B6 has a type 01V transmission, as documented in the VCDS scan log text, which is a ZF 5HP19 5-speed. What transmission do you have? It seems the B7 moved to the type 09L transmission, which is a ZF 6HP19 6-speed. It would be worth google searching on type 09L, AL420-6Q, and 6HP19A and seeing if any repair manuals or other useful materials. Such as page 83 of the Audi SSP 325 which shows a block diagram for type 09L, and page 21 of Audi SSP 284 that shows what appears to be the G93 thermistor on the type 09E, on which the 09L is based.

If you connect to the 02-auto trans, is there a measuring block value for the G93, and what is it reading? Or do you have a DTC for G93 failure?

Tranny in my car is indeed 6HP19A. Its sifting weird usually. I do not have VCDS but when i did use delphi cars software i did go to transmission and from there i did found data list group 42 gearbox oil temperature. That is showing all the time - 14 °C no matter how long i drive with the car. That made me wonder were this sensor could be located, what it is called and is it really the reason for my faulty transmission

Google search those Audi SSP and look at the pages I noted. The G93 is just a thermistor wired directly to the J217, which would communicate the value via CAN bus back to the car. It's clearly broken if it's always reporting -14°C. But that you don't have a proper DTC (error code) from the J217 in response to that condition is also troubling.

https://aftermarket.zf.com/remotemed...9a-catalog.pdf
ZF only catalogs complete mechatronics, not pieces for it.

You could hit up maktrans.net and sonnax.com and see if they have anything to offer for that issue.

Okay. I do not have any DTC:s from transsimission which definetily is weird. Thanks for advice! I still have to ask that so there is something wrong inside the transsimission? I just want to make sure that this temperature reading is not possibly related to the G2 or G62 sensors? which are apparently located in the engine compartment.

I have no idea. I don't have an 09E transmission, so can't look at any data. You might ask in the B7 A4 forum; probably some people around with VCDS and that trans and can take a look at values from a working vehicle.
