Does anyone have any idea why I can't get measuring block Group 070 'Evaporative emissions canister purge valve diagnosis @ idle' to turn on with my VAG tool. I left it idling for up to 15 minutes and the test remains off. I replaced the valve and it seems to be working fine. It won't pass emissions because it says not ready to test. The dealer said it might be the ECM. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

are what's supposed to "force" that test.
There are some notes in the procedure:
"During this diagnosis there should be no engine load, otherwise the diagnosis is interrupted and can only be restarted after pressing the accelerator pedal momentarily"
In other words, make sure your AC is off and all electrical loads are shut down.
and
"If the display changes from "Test ON" to "Test OFF" during the diagnosis, briefly accelerate the engine to reset and repeat the test."
It's also possible you may have to run through the entire "Generating Readiness Codes" procedure from the beginning to really get this to work.
